Spawn #1 was the pioneer of a new type of superhero comics. The award-winning comic creator Todd McFarlene, just having left Marvel, was trying to break the stereotype superhero image of Marvel and DC. And thus he created “Spawn”, a demonic anti-hero send back from afterlife. Spawn debuted with this issue entitled “Questions I” and [...]

Weird Science Fantasy # 29 was the last issue of this pioneer sci-fi and fantasy comic magazine from EC comics. It came with a classic cover made by Frank Frazetta. Interestingly, he actually made this cover for a Famous Funnies/ Buck Rogers issue. But the cover was considered to be too much violent for that [...]

Arguably, one of the greatest Amazing Spider-Man covers is #50 and the story titled “Spider-Man No More”. This issue features a large image of Spider-Man on the mostly all red cover. Peter Parker is walking away from the spidey image with his head down.
This issue has the first appearance of one of Marvel’s greatest villains, [...]

For a long time now, old and rare comic books have not been cheap. When you take a look at the blue chips of the comic book market, they can be downright pricey. Rob, over at It’s All Just Comics, maintains a list of comic books that are valued at $100,000 or more. I thought [...]

The comic book collecting community has taken an obvious stance when it comes to pricing restored comic books. Generally, a restored comic book is valued between one-fourth and one-half of the value of the same book, in the same condition, but unrestored.
This trend is only about 6-8 years old, since the advent of CGC encapsulation [...]

For many collectors, the only comics worth having in their collection are high grade comics. The aesthetic of the comic book and collectibility increases when the comic book is in better condition. But, considering that grading comic books is so subjective, one persons high grade treasure could be another persons mid-grade filler.
First off, age certainly [...]

On the September 29, 2008 Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, Keith made the following comment:
The House scuttles the bailout, the stock market plummets what happens next? Should you be running to the bank in the morning? Move all your money into vintage comic books?
Interestly, after a quick Google search, there are several references across [...]

Second to Ebay, ComicLink is one of the largest dealers of comic books and comic art on the Internet. Although, to be fair, like Ebay, they aren’t a traditional comic book dealer but more of a consignment house. However, what that gets you is one of the largest selections of raw and CGC graded comic [...]

Amazing Fantasy #15, the first appearance of Peter Parker as Spider-Man is the hottest back issue in comics right now.
This past summer I sold my CGC graded 3.0, unrestored copy at the San Diego comic-con for a lot more than I paid for it. I thought the market had begin to slow down for [...]

All-Star Batman and Robin #10 was released and recalled yesterday. Apparently, some curse words that were supposed to be blacked out were not fully blacked out.
Although DC did a recall, many issues were sold and are now going for $20 or more on Ebay.
Some might think so, but, I would not call this issue, drawn [...]
