On the September 29, 2008 Countdown with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, Keith made the following comment:

The House scuttles the bailout, the stock market plummets what happens next? Should you be running to the bank in the morning? Move all your money into vintage comic books?

Interestly, after a quick Google search, there are several references across the Internet about collectibles and comics being used for investment purposes. Personally, I believe most of my comics will be handed down to my kids, but you never know.

And, with the rapid price increases for Amazing Fanasy #15 (first Spider-Man appearance) there is an argument that comics can be considered a commodity investment. With CGC, you know what you will be getting, particularly on the high grade side. So, invest at your own risk, just buy what you like.
